PART 2
In Spanish there are two ways of saying "you":
- Usted. This is the formal "you".
- Tú. This is the informal "you".
Usted is used when talking with someone who is:
- Older than you.
- In a position of authority.
Tú is used when talking with someone who is:
- Your friend or relative (and is the same age or younger than you).
- The same age or younger than you.
PART 3
Le = Usted = You (formal).
Te = Tú = You (informal).
"Le" and "te" are direct object pronouns. They are used to indicate who benefits from or is affected by the action of the verb in the sentence.
Le is used when talking with someone who is:
- Older than you.
- In a position of authority.
Te is used when talking with someone who is:
- Your friend or relative (and is the same age or younger than you).
- The same age or younger than you.
PART 4
Phrase 1 (Formal):
¿Le gustaría ir al supermercado?
Would you like to go to the supermarket?
Phrase 2 (Informal):
¿Te gustaría ir a la panadería?
Would you like to go to the bakery?
In Spanish, the inverted question mark (¿) is a standard punctuation mark that is used at the beginning of all questions.

- ¿Le gustaría = Would you like.
- ir = to go.
- al = to the.
- supermercado? = supermarket?
Informal question divided into sections:
- ¿Te gustaría = Would you like.
- ir = to go.
- a = to.
